A New Normal

Everyday we are hearing more statistics, more deaths, as we get deeper and deeper into this Co-vid 19 crisis. We struggle with the unknown, the unpredictability of this beast.

It seems everywhere we go we are getting conflicting information, conflicting numbers, and worst of all we are fighting amongst ourselves.

We’ve seen the good in people, but sadly in some cases we see the bad as well. We see some fighting over rolls of toilet paper, business being robbed.

We have people arguing with Self-Quarrantine, people who think it’s an overreaction while others feel we need to do more, and some are just scared out of their mind.

And if we are honest with itself, we are scared, and our Children are scared, there normals are taken from them, and they are face to face with a new normal.

The Corona Virus is a scary beast, one like we have never faced. Covid 19 is not something inconsequential, it is very real and it causes very real, and we have to be honest with children about what’s happening about the dangers while assuring them that we are doing everything in our power to keep them safe.

Many children are faced with a new normal where many of us have become kitchen table teachers, but Children are adaptable, they can learn to adjust.
