She’s stuck somewhere
Between girl
And woman
Not quite Girl
Not yet woman.

She’s tasting the
First tastes of freedom
And discovering
Who she is
And who she
Wants to be.

She knows
That she’s no longer
That little girl
In Pigtails and curls!
She feels things
More intensely
Than she has
Ever felt
Them before!

She’s stuck somewhere
Between
Not quite a girl
Not yet a woman!
