I am reviewing a copy of Unraveled through Greenleaf Book Group and Netgalley:
Unraveled is a book Co-authored with Mother and Don Laura Cook Boldt and Tom H Boldt. This book delves into Tom’s drug and alcohol addiction, and how that trauma reverberated with family and friends, it is a raw account of what they had dealt with. This book also tells the backstory of her own battle with alcohol addiction, so she refuses to stand by on the sidelines. She struggled with alcohol addiction firsthand but remains emotionally and physically sober and present for her son during his collision course with disaster. This book shows the families, love, compassion and understanding as they work their way through deep fear, sleepless nights, and crushing setbacks.
Unraveled offers a powerful portrayal of addiction and its agonies how one family faced their issues and found a stronger, more sustainable path forward. For many readers they will be able to see themselves in these stories and will come away with an abiding sense of hope, not just for Tommy and Laura, but for themselves, too.
