I am going through When You Are Near through Bethany House Publishers and Netgalley:

Lizzy Brookstone, The Star trick rider of an All female Wild West Extravaganza called Brookstone finds she has lost her interest in performing after her Father died. She does want to build a life with the Brookstone ranch Foreman Wesley Deshaver, despite the fact he already broke her heart once. In the meantime Jason Alder, son of the show’s new financial partner, comes to help with the show and soon he is vying for Lizzy’s affections.

Ella Fleming fled a forced engagement when she stows away on the Brookstone train. Lizzy finds her and helps her out by giving her a job in the costume department, unfortunately Ella has a dangerous secret that could affect all of them , as well as the future of the Brookstone Extravaganza.

Mary Reichert, a former sharpshooter for the show, learns that her brother, August, has been killed at the Fleming farm, she does not believe it was an accident. She comes back to the show to find answers, but is she really looking for the truth or is she looking for revenge?

Lizzy, Ella and Mary work together to discover how August really died, Lizzy works hard to hold the show together but can she keep the Brookstone Extravaganza alive without losing the desire of her heart?

I enjoyed this journey back to the beginning of the twenty century, the book captivate me throughout so I give it five out of five stars!
