Brave

*The challenge was to write a poem centered around the word brave.

I saw the way

You fought a battle

A war no

One should have to

Fight

A hero who

Never wore a

Cape made

Of cloth

But one made

Of courage.

I saw the

Way you

Fought

A hero

In every sense

Of the word

Your courage

Never wore

Out

But your

Strength did.

Society looks

at a hero

A little differently

Than I do

Sometimes the bravest

Are the ones who fight

Simply to survive.

Sometimes bravery

Isn’t that super human

Act,

Something huge

And flashy
