Broken Beginnings:

Chapter Ten:

I wasn’t walking, but I was making good progress. I had gained a lot of core strength. which I was thankful for, and I was becoming more mobile, and thankfully more independent. I started to feel that it was time I get to get back to my classes, I was going to start out with a couple of classes so I didn’t dig to deeply in, but I was going to get a start, I was going to build my life back up piece by piece.

“Are you sure your ready to go back to classes?” Mom asked.

“I am, he’s taking to much from me already, I’m not going to let him take my education from me as well.”

“I’m proud of you sweetie, very proud of you, but I don’t want you to overdo it, you’ve worked hard sweetie to get this far, I don’t want you to have any setbacks.”

“I’m just going to start with a couple of classes Mom, I will be okay. If I don’t let myself try though Mom, then I feel in a way that I will be letting him win, and I can’t do that either.”

“Naomi I am here for you, in anyway that I can be.”

“I know Mom, and I am thankful for that.”

“I love you Naomi, and I wish I had been able to stop this.”

“Mom, you weren’t responsible, the person that drove drunk is the one responsible.”
