Broken Beginnings: (Chapter Nineteen)

Chapter Nineteen:

I woke up to a gentle tap on my shoulder, looking at the clock, made me realize I had lost all track of time. I was still in the family room, sitting on the recliner. I shifted my weight, as Mom brought my chair closer to me, I was so tired, I didn’t argue that I could get myself into the chair.

“I know you are capable of getting yourself around.” Mom said. “But you are exhausted, let me help you.”

I groggily thanked Mom, and made my way to my room, somehow managing to take care of my nightly rituals, despite still feeling exhausted. I feather a sigh of relief, remembering I didn’t have therapy or classes the next morning, I could sleep in, and that sounded appealing to me at the moment.

“Naomi, get some sleep.” Mom said. “You need it.”

“You won’t have any arguments from me there.” I said, yawning. “Good night.”

“Good night sweetheart.”

I didn’t have to lay awake for long that night, in no time I had drifted off to sleep. A heavy sleep that I obviously needed. I hadn’t realized how much energy I was using getting to and from classes, but it was well worth it and I was going to keep going to classes, and keep exercise grade, I knew I was building up upper body strength, my core was growing stronger while my lower body remained…
