Broken Beginnings: Chapter Twenty Six

Chapter Twenty Six:

I was dressed and ready for court, at least physically, emotionally I felt like a wreck, but I was going through with this, there was no turning back, I needed to let David see that I was not going to let fear win. I was going to face him, and I was going to be sure he realized that actions had consequences, this was no longer about revenge it was about consequences and being sure he could not hurt anyone else, to him a vehicle was a weapon, he intentionally hurt people and took pleasure in watching as they suffered. I had to admit that I had amazing friends in my life and of course a family who stood beside me, except for my Father, he really didn’t even know me. It was kind of sad really but I couldn’t focus on who wasn’t there right now I had to focus on who was.

I remained quiet on the way to the courthouse, silently praying about what the day was going to bring. I was going to have to face David for all…
