Chapter Twenty Three

Monday November.05.2018:

My Mother was busy packing my belongings into the car, I had equipment and other stuff I would need at home, things that would make my life just a little bit easier. The doctors had come in and I was signing papers, as they went over instructions, and upcoming appointments.

Going home, it had been two months, since I’d been home, and my life had been different then, I had been different. I worried about the challenges I would face at home, and I worried about Nadia, but I knew going home was a good thing, I was going home earlier than they had originally thought, and that was a good sign. I was stronger and that was a blessing because for a few days after the accident no one was sure whether or not I would wake up, but Bobe had been there with me in that car and in the hospital room.

I finished the paperwork, and went to Nadia’s room to see how she was doing and to let her know I was going home and would be back to visit her all the time. I wanted her to see that soon she would be coming home too, and everything would be okay. I had to believe that, and I needed to look at the small signs as a blessing, the little improvements Nadia made were really not that little when she fought so hard for them.
