Chapter Eleven:

Tuesday.September.19.2018

I felt better knowing that Nadia was still alive, that she was making progress, but it hurt me to see her struggling. She usually had so much to say and now she had to fight for even the simplest of hello’s. It wasn’t fair, but nothing about what had happened had been fair.

Who runs someone off the road, trying to kill them over a bumper sticker?

I didn’t think I would have the answers to the questions I had asked time and time again since waking up to this nightmare, the nightmare of a life turned upside down, because someone let hatred and evil rule their life.

Who destroys others because of their ancestry?

I knew the answer to that one though, because Bobe had survived the Nazi’s, she had seen that kind of hate first hand. She saw the hands of hate murder people by the millions, men, women, children, it did not matter who, all that mattered was the murdering, they got rewarded for the lives they destroyed, many of the Nazi’s were twisted, but Bobe pointed out that even amongst these monsters there were good men, men and women who were willing to risk their lives to go against an order that they didn’t agree with.
