It was a summer of lessons, one in which Aerial learned what it means to be truly free, free from the opinions of others.

It was the summer of magic , the summer where dreams became reality the summer of first love.He was tall, dark, and handsome, just like in fairytales.

Although Aerial liked to dance, she felt awkward, always trying to be perfect, but Miguel saw her as perfect just the way she was. In spite of dancing, walking, and talking differently, Aerial had always tried to fit in with the other kids, made an effort to be like them.

Miguel told her she was perfect just the way she was. He didn’t expect her to be anything other than what she was. When it came to Miguel, Aerial didn’t feel that she had to be someone else, someone that everyone else wanted her to be. Miguel did not treat her differently. The magical summer when Aerial first encountered love, she felt at home around Miguel. It was Miguel who taught her she was worthy just the way she was.

When Aerial was sixteen, she no longer felt confined to fitting in with those who did not accept her as she was. When she found solace in dance, Miguel was the only one that mattered that summer, and it didn’t matter to him how many times she failed or stumbled, as long as she got up again.
