Through Grief and Joy

Dear Friend (s)

I was going through grief two years ago, I lost an aunt and a cousin in three days, and grief was fresh, and this is true for you right now, and I want you to know I’m here for you.

I know your strength even as you grieve in your own way, a more reserved kind of grief, but that’s okay, or maybe it hasn’t all sunk in yet. I’m here for you.

There’s going to be a little loneliness this Christmas, but you’re surrounded by people you love and, most importantly, the Lord is with you.

Dear friend:

You’re no stranger to pain or grief, but you stay strong and resolute in your Faith. I know that more than anything else is what gets you through, along with your family and friends.

You’ve experienced life, you’ve been broken by it, and you’ve seen joy too, but I know Faith is the thing that gets us through. People say God doesn’t give you more than you can handle, but it’s actually more like God doesn’t give you anything he can’t handle.

Life has a way of bringing friends into our life, no matter what chapter we are in, some of those friends are in for the long haul, others only for a short time, but no matter what people are put in our lives for a reason, even if only for a season.

But I want you to know that I am here for you, in anyway I can be.
