Digging into David

In my search to grow closer to the Lord, I have found myself looking to the life of David, studying the way he went from mere Shepered to King. It shows that no matter who we are God can use us no matter what we have done God can use us.

David was not a perfect man, but the only perfect person was Christ and still God used him to rule as second king over Israel and because of his Faith in God he was able to slay Goliath a giant of a man who stood about nine feet tall with only sling shot and a few smooth stones. Imagine David little more than a boy facing a giant with a mere sling shot and a few smooth stones, I imagine he was laughed at mocked, but it was he who had the last laugh when he killed the giant. The story shows that no matter who we are God Can use us.

I have dug into the books of Samuel and the Psalms searching for answers I have been seeking about David, and finding out how God took a mere shepered and made him a king, the same way he would bring his son to earth a carpenter, and he was the king of the world, like David Jesus was scoffed at laughed at, called Liar, called traitor, even murdered, but that did not stop Jesus he took our place on the cross.

David was a king but before that he was a believer in the one true God, a Jewish King, whose faith was evident in his writing, a poet, and a musician, David was a man of many God given talents, he could slay…
