Don’t
Photo by Ann H on Pexel’s
Don’t be so
Quick to judge
Me
As you see
Me step
Out of a car
Parked in the
Handicapped spot
Calling out names
Threatening to
Call the cops.
What you don’t see
Is the muscles
That don’t always
Cooperate.
Don’t assume
I’m lazy
As I rest
In bed
I have my good
Days
And the ones
I simply
Need to recharge.
Muscles that weaken
Over time
A silent battle
Fought over
Time
Yes I’ll
Often smile
And assure
You I’m okay
As I stumble,
Leaving people
To wonder
