Life has a way of giving us mixed message, in one breath we are told to hold on to our youth, and at the same time we are being told not to be so childish. But is being more like a child a bad thing, and I am not talking about immature, but a Faith that is grounded in innocence, God had a place in his heart for children, both the old and New Testament bring it up, but none more powerfully than Jesus.

Matthew 19:14

New International Version

14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs(A) to such as these.”(B)

Children weren’t encouraged to speak out in these days, but Jesus welcomed them in. He told his disciples to let them come to him.

If you carry your childhood with you, you never become older.

Tom Stoppard

I am reminded often of why Jesus wants us to let the Children come to him, they are the ones who have the strongest faith the most awesome, they don’t question God’s goodness or analyze everything to death the way adults do when things don’t go right, and often they better know what to say then adults do.
