What is Ableism discrimination in favor of able-bodied people.

What is disablism discriminatory, oppressive, abusive behaviour arising from the belief that disabled people are inferior to others. Disablism refers to prejudice, stereotyping, or "institutional discrimination" against disabled people.

You look at

Me and see

Only brokenness

Life isn’t defined by

The things you can’t

Do

But the things

You do

The gifts

You share

With others

The strength

That carries

You through.

I don’t need pity

Nor do I need

You to paint me

As if I

Have

Underwhelming

Ability.

I don’t need

You to paint

My world

In brokenness

Instead

Let me show

You

My ability.
