The sun dipped

Down underneath

My feet,

A temporary farewell

To the light of

Another day.

The moon

Tripped over

My head

Casting moonlit

Shadows on

The ground.

The night noises

Began a symphony

A beautiful song

As nocturnal

Animals

Came out

To play.

For awhile

As the sun fades

Before the moon

Shows he full

Glory

A quiet

Unfolds

Until darkness

Calls

Bringing with

It a symphony
