For the One We Call Mother
The Photo was taken today, the poem I wrote well over a decade ago but it is fitting I share it today….
For the One We Call Mother
For gentle hands,
That wipe fevered brows,
For warm hugs, On cold nights.
For the hand,
That prepare our daily meals.
For the storyteller,
Who tells all the family tales.
For the teacher, The preacher,
The one we look to for guidance.
Lord, I thank you,
For the one we call Mother.
