Blood red

In the sand.

A soldiers sacrifice

Greater than

Anything we can

Understand.

Silent fears

In the face

Of the enemy

They can’t afford

To show them weakness

Lest more lives

Color the sand.

Freedom

It isn’t without

A cost

It’s price

Is written

Blood red

In the

Sand.

A soldiers

Life

Is etched out

Far to soon

With the

Memories

Of a hero

Written

In blood red

On the sand.
