I hate hikers. One hiker is okay — as long as he isn’t toting a loud boombox. One hiker doesn’t make too much of an imprint on the mountain. The solo hiker is there to commune with the mountain, like me. Yeah, sure, we may dump our problems on it as well, but we do it silently. It’s an individual spiritual catharsis.
