I love the metaphors you used in this, powerful poem!

My peers hold empty cups
or fleeting woes with a cadence
that triggers memories from
back when my cup held but a sip.
I hold my cup higher than their sights
seemingly effortlessly.
I appear as the most
cavalier of the bunch.
