In the ruffling

Of the tree branches

After a summer breeze.

In the clear blue

Skies

And on the

Days when

Rain poured

From

The sky.

In the faces

Of young couples

In love.

I saw you

In the candlelight nights

When romance

Was the name

Of the game.

I saw you

In the romantic movie

On the t.v screen

Where I could

Pretend

You were still near.

I saw you

On the faces

Of broken hearts

Putting together

The pieces of

A life

Never fully

Complete

Without you

There.

I saw you

In tear streaked

Faces

And hurting hearts.
