I Wanted To Paint You A Masterpiece

I wanted to paint

You a masterpiece

But you were

Blind to the

Beauty

Within

I wanted to

Write hope

On your heart

And cover over

The broken parts

But you pushed me away

Blowing me away

Like a leaf

In the wind.

I wanted to show

You it’s always

Darkest before dawn

But you never saw

The dawning

Of a new day.

I wanted to paint

You a masterpiece

But you were blind to

The beauty

That shone within.
