We had listened
Really listened
And not been
So quick to
Judge
The things
We could not
Know or
Begin to
Understand.
If only
We could
Learn to use
Our words
To build
Up
And not
Cut down.
If only
We would
Learn that
Love
Holds so
Much power
Than hate.
It changes lives
And gives hope.
If only
We would
All offer
Our voices
To those
Who have
Been silenced.
If only
We would
Reach up
And reach
Out
To the guiding
Hand Of our
Savior
When all
Seems lost.
If only
We would
Reach out
In love.
