I’ll dance

She said

To the rhythm

Of life.

The ride

Hasn’t always

Been easy

I’ve had a thousand

Missteps.

But still

I’ll dance.

I’ll dance

As the world

Around me

Fights a thousand

Battles

Poetry in motion

Is the way I choose

To fight.

I’ll dance

For freedom

For understanding

Offering a voice

To those

Who have

Been silenced.

I’ll dance

She said

For freedom

For poetry

In motion.

I’ll dance

Life in motion

Poetry in movement

Silence in song.
