I’ll Stumble, I’ll Fall, I’ll Get Up Again: Chapter Eight

Chapter Eight:

Mom and Krista arrived early that morning as promised. I would not be going home for a few more hours but they wanted to make sure that I was all set and ready to go.

“I can’t believe you’re finally going to be going home.” Krista said, looking happier than she had in a long time. I was happy too, but I was still nervous. I was going to be facing new challenges.

“Krista, I’m happy that I am going home too, and a little bit in disbelief.”

“And you’re nervous.” Krista said. “You can’t fool me.”

“I wouldn’t dream of trying.” I only half joked. I knew that I could not fool my sister though, and she really could not fool me either. We knew each other to well.

Krista and Mom busied themselves, boxing all the cards and gifts, I had accumulated over the past few weeks. The support from my readers was a blessing, I knew that.

“You’re Fans really care, don’t they?” Krista asked.

“Yes most of them are wonderful.” I said. “I’m going to have to find a way to thank them when I get home.”

“I have no doubt, you’ll think of something.”

“I hope so.” I said.
