Chapter Thirty Eight:
My Aunt was getting the help she needed, that took a weight off of Samantha’s shoulders. She has been carrying the burden alone far to long. It ended up being a blessing that we had invited them for Thanksgiving although the day certainly had not gone as planned.
Thank you Lord for bringing my Aunt to us, when she needed us the most. You knew the need and put it on her heart. Thank you for letting her make it here safely, it would have been so much worse had she lost it on the flight. It’s bad enough that it happened at all, but we know it could have been so much worse.
“I’m glad my Moms getting the help she needs. I don’t know how much more I could have taken, and yet at times I felt like I was the one pushing buttons.”
“Samantha none of this was your fault. Your Mom needed help, it wasn’t anyone’s fault.”
“I really do want to make something of my life, I want to be successful. But I know there is more to success than just the financial aspects.”
“Maybe when you’re Mom is a little more stable, you could talk to her about all of this.”
Samantha nodded. I could see that she was relieved her Mom was getting the help she needed. She knew she’d have to have a heart to heart when her Mom was better, and now…
