I’ll Stumble, I’ll Fall, I’ll Get Up Again: Chapter Twenty One:

Chapter Twenty One:

I tried to turn on my computer, but it was dead. I could not do anything to get it to come back on. My book was backed up, as were all my other files and photographs but I had the computer since starting college, as much as I hated to let it go, I knew it was time for another one.

“Mom, do you think we could go the computer store?” I asked. “My old laptop is dead. It’s time to replace it.”

“Of course.” Mom said. “Just let me get my purse.”

“I can’t believe you’re finally replacing the laptop.” Krista said. “You really need a new one.”

“It’s bittersweet.” I said. “I wrote my first novel on this one”. I said, pointing to the dead laptop on my desk.

“I know, and you ‘ll write lots more on your new one.” Krista assured me. I could only hope she was right.

“Thanks Mom.” I said, as we headed out. I could have ordered a laptop online, but I needed it right away, if I had any hope of meeting the new deadline for I’ll Stumble, I’ll Fall, I’ll Get Up Again.

“Think nothing of it sweetie, I don’t have anything planned for the day.” Mom assured me.

“I really do appreciate this.” I said, despite my Mother’s insistence that I did not need to thank her.
