In Blood and Tears

She wore
It with
Blood and tears
A million regrets
For the life
She made
For herself.
She was young
And stupid
And believed
It when they said
A gang was like family
Anything had to be
Better than home
Until it wasn’t.
Before long
Reality set in
And she had blood
On her hands.
Innocent lives
Taken in drive
Bye’s.
Blood in and blood out.
She left that life
But not before a bullet
Shattered her spine
And saved her life
All at the same time.
She had worn
That life with blood and tears
But now the blood
She wore
Was the blood of
Christ.
