In the Shadows of the Lost
Bucha Ukraine
For twenty seven days in March, Bucha Ukraine was under attack, by an army under defeat the Russian army, nearly 500 killed including 86 women and nine children. These were not soldiers killed, but civilians, men, women and a few children.
Before the wars those in Bucha lived ordinary lives, they had family, friends, careers, they had hopes and dreams until that was all taken away.
There are innocents on both sides being killed, good people being lost in both the Ukraine and Russia, all for a war that no one really wanted, save a power hungry leader, not factoring in, or not caring the cost they are causing, or not caring.
I come from a military family myself going back many generations, on my Fathers side we had ancestors serve in the Revolutionary War, that being said, I don’t agree with every war, nor do I agree with the way we treat our soldiers, when soldiers came back from Vietnam, they were spat upon and worse.
Many were buried in a temporary mass grave in the shadow of an Orthodox Church.
Some lost everything, including so much hope, it kind of puts things into perspective, not only…
