Been the end of

My story

Or the start of a tragedy

But I refused to be

Marred by

What happened to

Me.

I’ve experienced pain

My share of tears

I’ve fallen on

Proverbial knees

But it doesn’t make me

Broken.

It could have

Been a sad song

A broken melody

But I had a hand

Guiding me

Even in weakness

There is

Strength to

Be found.

Like David

Slaying Goliath

With a sling shot

And stone

I learned

To kill

The thing

That made me

Think
