Were the police hiding something from Molly’s family? Why would they refuse to show them the evidence? The entire investigation was poorly managed, and it seemed unusual that the police would care so little about the missing woman. Were they trying to cover up what had truly happened to Molly, or did they just not care enough about the investigation to put in a hundred percent effort? The Dattilo family lost a family member, and instead of relying on the police to do their job, they instead had to work through their grief and take over the investigation themselves. And despite showing the police everything that they had collected, it still wasn’t enough to put John Shelton behind bars.
