It Represents Souls, It Shares Dreams
*The day after Halloween Is All Saints Day in the Christian tradition a day that we remember those called to the Lord before us, today we celebrated that at Church, lighting candles and calling out the names of those we have lost. The following lines were inspired by that.*
Candles lit
A reminder of
The souls
He’s called home.
Saints he
Wraps in
His loving arms
In a reunion like
No other.
He dries
The tears of
The ones they left
Behind
And teaches them
To draw comfort
In even the smallest
Of memories
A smile,
A laugh
A song
He speaks through
All of these.
A quiet reminder
Of the ones who
Left before us
Those who are
Helping
In our journey
Through memories.
It’s more
Than candles
It represents souls
And it shares dreams
It is the hope
Found in
The King!
