It took

Strength to cancel

Out the you

Can’t’s, You won’t

And to hear

Another mantra

You can

You will.

It took strength

To discount

The doctors words

The limitations

She refused to listen

To

Determined instead

To show

Everyone that

She was going

To soar.

It took strength

To toss all

Labels aside

And show the world

She was strong.
