It’s Taken From Me And Given to Me Too

It’s taken a lot from me

And it’s given to me too.

It has brought me to my knees

And it has given me strength

It has forged friendships

And perhaps even broken a few.

It has taught me patience

And to cherish the good days.

It has brought me to faith

And shook my faith too.

It has drawn me closer

And pulled me

Away.

it has taught me to cherish life

And make the little moments memorable.

It has showed me

Strength is not physical

It goes so much deeper.

It gives me strength

And it wears me out.
