The question of whether prayer has scientifically proven effects on health is a complex and controversial topic — especially for my nonpraying friends who think I’m a nut job. Yet, some studies suggest the potential benefit of prayer even if the overall scientific evidence is inconclusive. The interpretation of existing research often involves challenges. It is a matter of faith, after all.
