Lest We Fall

It’s far to easy to stumble and fall especially if we are not walking our own path in Christ. We tend to think of faith as something we measure by the way someone else who walks their lives, often left to feel inadequate if we are not living up to someone else’s walk, that is not to say we shouldn’t grow in Christ, because we certainly should. But we are all unique individuals called to the body in different capacities, and should not be made to feel that because we are not the head of some mega church we are not worthy, whether we witness to ten or ten thousand people it matters, we matter!
Some look at those with disabilities with a mixture of pity or judgement, they are quick to point out of only we fasted more, prayed harder, we would be healed. As if healing is only rewarded to those that they see as pious enough, but that’s not how God works. They are far to quick to judge the parent of a sick child too, or pity the child without seeing what the Child is bringing to the world.
