Like Jekyll and Hyde

The challenge was to begin and end a poem with the line “A Leopard doesn’t change its spots.”

A Leopard never
Changes their spots
But I’ve seen you
Go from Dr Jekyll to Mr Hyde
In the time
It takes to blink
An eye.

I’ve seen how
You can change
On a dime
Sweet as can be
When you stand
In front
Hateful words whispered
From behind.

You smile a sweet smile
And then pour out hate
With rumors and
Whispers
And words of
Hate.

I’ve heard it
Said a leopard
Never changes it’s Spots
How many times you
Change yours?
