Anna-leis smiled, when Clarence carried in yet another bouquet of Red Roses, she had never received so many Roses in her life and honestly they made her fell special. Clarence had a way of doing that to her, the way no one before could, what happened to her didn’t change his feelings, if anything it made them grow. But what made Anna-Leis gasp in surprise was the ring that was laid in one of the flowers, the wedding was coming soon, Anna-leis had insisted she didn’t want to wait, and neither did Clarence. It was going to be a small wedding, the way she wanted, on the beach. Their Pastor would officiate, but being by the water especially on the beach where they first met, not knowing that a few years later they would be getting married on the same beach. But even then Clarence knew Anna-leis was special, her hair glowing in the sunlight. He was expressed with her as a cop too, it took courage to risk your life for others.

“You didn’t have.” Anna-leis said looking awestruck.

“I wanted too, you deserve something that makes you happy.”

She wiped tears from her eyes, as he put the ring on her finger. The wedding would be taking place by the end of the month, it seemed so fast for some, but not to them, the last few weeks had taught Anna-leis and Clarence how quickly things could change. She would always have a reminder of…
