Like Letters Written in the Sand…Part Fifty (Conclusion)
Life for the past three years had been challenging Anna-leis could not deny that, nor could she deny the beauty of it all. It was true what they said, that God takes what’s broken and turns it into something beautiful. Like an artist, creating something beautiful out of brokenness.
As hard as it had been after she had lost her legs to the drunk driver, Anna-leis wouldn’t change it, if it meant loosing what she had now. Her family completed her, her Faith gave her hope, as important as her legs had once been to her, her family and Faith were far more important, that didn’t mean she didn’t have her moments, it simply meant that she knew where to lean when things got tough, and her family knew they could lean on her too.
Anna-leis life was not always easy, but her blessings were evident. She had so much to be thankful for, Clarence and their daughter, Clarence family who were now her family. For the past couple of years Clarence Mother, Brenda, started taking Anna-leis out for breakfast twice a month, for Mother and daughter time. She cherished these moments and was grateful for them, she had missed moments like this as a child, so Brenda was doing everything in her power to make sure Anna-leis knew she was part of a loving family now.
