Anna-leis couldn’t deny that life had been challenging for the past three years, but she couldn’t deny the beauty of it. It’s true what they said, God takes broken things and makes them beautiful. It’s like an artist creating something beautiful from something broken.

Despite losing her legs to a drunk driver, Anna-leis wouldn’t change a thing. Her family knew they could rely on her when things got tough, and that didn’t mean she didn’t have her moments. It didn’t mean she didn’t care about her legs as much as she did about her family and Faith.

Anna-leis’ life wasn’t always easy, but she had a lot of blessings. Clarence and their daughter, Clarence family who became her family, gave her a lot to be thankful for. Over the past couple of years, Clarence’s mom, Brenda, has taken Anna-leis out for breakfast twice a month. As a child, she had missed moments like these, so Brenda was doing everything she could to make Anna-leis feel like she was part of a loving family.

‘You’ve got a family now, you’ve got people who love you.’ You deserve all that and more.” Brenda said softly. “I know your life hasn’t been easy, but God is always good.
