The girls would turn six! It was hard to believe a year and a half since the adoption was first finalized. Anna-leis and Clarence both knew they had so much to celebrate, so much to be grateful. There life may not always be easy, but there was no doubt that God was good.

Sasha and Sonya brought Anna-leis and Clarence so much joy! The girls were their everything and that wouldn’t change. The good Lord had blessed them with many miracles but their greatest miracle were there daughters who were sitting at their school desks working on a homeschool assignment.

Today was a special day, today they we’re celebrating the girls sixth birthday. They would have a short homeschool day, and would get ready for a birthday party, with their Grandparents. Clarence’s parent as well as with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends from Church. No one would be there to celebrate from Anna-leis parents, but that was for the best. She would never have her girls hurt the way she had been hurt.

Clarence looked Anna-leis in her eyes, reading the pain that she was not able to put into words.
