“Somedays are hard.” Anna-leis sighed. “I’m reminded of my limitations and sometimes it’s humiliating.” Clarence could see the tears in her eyes, the frustration the pain.
“Sweetheart, it’s okay. You are allowed to have bad days, and you are certainly allowed to grieve.” Clarence wrapped his arms around Anna-leis shoulders. “Your grief is a sign of your healing, you aren’t trying to bury your feelings.”
“I nearly broke down in the supermarket.” Anna-leis sighed. “The girls wanted something I couldn’t reach, how does something so small, cause a breakdown”
“It’s all been festering sweetheart but it’s coming to the surface now.”
Anna-leis nodded, but she was shaking she had been sobbing so hard. The grief she had been holding back was all coming to the surface.
“I want to be strong, but right now, I don’t feel so strong.”
“Sweetheart grief doesn’t make you weak, it just means you are grieving.”
“I thought I had come to terms with all of this.”
