Gratitude overwhelmed Anna-leis. As she knew how quickly things could change, her world could turn upside down, but when it turned right side up, it was even better, because Clarence and their girls came from chaos. She loved her twins wholeheartedly. It was clear that God created beauty out of chaos.

She saw Clarence looking at Sasha and Sonya and realized how far she had come. She had lost a lot, but she had gained even more, sort of like Job, who had lost everything and was blessed with twice as much. Although it didn’t make the losses she faced easier, it certainly reminded her of God’s grace.

Clarence had also seen how God could turn a tragedy into something good. Instead of taking Anna-leis from him, the crash made them realize how much they needed each other, that they loved each other. Love they had escaped for years until they could no longer. Clarence couldn’t help but think he had been foolish for not fighting harder than he had. However, they were together now, as husband and wife, and that was God, no doubt.

“Sometimes I have to pinch myself to remind myself that this is real. A fairytale is unfolding before me.”

Sweetheart, fairytales weren’t always happy.”
