Like Letters Written in the Sand Part Forty Two

There was something powerful, something almost magical about a love forged in the fire. A love that was seemingly built out of chaos. Anna-leis would have never imagined this for her life, the joy, the love the family, the burning passion.

Out of chaos, God gave calm, he gave hope and understanding. Anna-leis understood that now, because she lived it, because she had seen the way the good Lord had written hope in her life when all seemed hopeless. He had used Clarence to make life more bearable even as the doctors words echoed in her ear.

We had to take both legs, above the knee, in order to save your life.

Infections had begun to set in, and they were quick changing artists, she knew that, hers had been moving so rapidly that not amputating could have meant death. Anna-leis never regretted living, even with all she endured, and she never regret making Clarence her medical guardian, just a couple of weeks prior, when she filled out the forms, something made her sign Clarence’s name, maybe it had been one of those gentle nudges from God.

Anna-leis looked at Clarence, the love and compassion in his eyes, in her own eyes when she looked at him was enough to tell her…
