Like Letters Written in the Sand…Part Thirty Two
Clarence loved to hear Anna-leis laughter, as she played with their girls, as they watched comedies together. She was laughing more now, the inward healing had begun, and that in itself was a gift. Sure there were tough moments, times that she struggled with, but Anna-leis had overcome so much, and she’d found what truly brought her joy, they brought each other joy of course and their children brought them joy. Their children, two beautiful words and a strong reality.
The girls were no longer phased by Anna-leis prosthetics, the fact that there new Mommy couldn’t walk very fast when she was wearing her prosthetics, and got around in her wheelchair or would crawl around on the floor playing games with them, wasn’t unusual to them it was fun. They were slowly learning the homes the girls were in before were homes in name only, and thar was being generous. Anna-leis was determined to give the home they never had, the home she never had. She read to the girls, sang to them, laughed at their silly antics and when Anna-leis was sad, the girls would often climb into her laugh. Sasha and Sonya were their God given miracles.
The girls kept Anna-leis occupied when Clarence was working on a story for the news. But if Clarence was reporting a story, they would stop what they were doing, cuddle on the sofa, and watch their Daddy on T.V, while…
