Like Letters Written in the Sand Part Twenty Three (Revised)
When Clarence was reporting a story, Anna-leis kept herself busy because she disliked being idle. Her entire adult life had been devoted to serving others, not only as a police officer, but in a variety of other capacities, so she could not sit around and let someone else care for her, even if it was Clarence. Thankfully Clarence understood how much her independence meant to her, and Anna-leis was learning it was okay to ask for assistance when she needed it, like when she found herself frantically making sure everything was in place, after what seemed like an eternity, it was getting closer to a placement, and they had received approval only a few days before, which was when Anna-leis found herself crying after receiving the news, tears of joy.
It was not the infant they had wished for, but twin girls around the age of four, and something about this news brought joy to Anna-leis and Clarence. As Anna-leis began to learn to navigate a life she had never imagined, she found the words poured out. It felt good, and as Anna-leis and Clarence built a life, Anna-leis became more creative.
Despite all that she had been through, many looked at her as if what she had gone through had been tragic, but in fact, despite all she had gone through, she considered herself blessed, as she had her Faith, her life, Clarence, and now…
