Chapter Sixteen:

Now that Kelsea was home, they were adjusting to this new reality. They both learned to live with a life neither of them could have imagined. Obviously Kelsea had it harder, since she was almost entirely reliant on Kevin due to her arms and legs not functioning properly.

Kevin could spend all day gazing at his beautiful wife, the woman who had stolen his heart. She was the woman God had chosen for him. By God’s grace, this beautiful woman has overcome so much.

I don’t deserve any of this. After all the time I spent running from you, blocking you at every turn, you’re here caring for me.”

“Kelsea, I am not here out of obligation or sympathy. I am doing this because I love you.”

She stared down at him as he grabbed her hand, trying to feel his touch. She wanted that for herself and for him as well. Kevin had never done anything to make Kelsea doubt his love.

Kelsea soon found herself praying, something she still struggled with. Her life had been spent running from God instead of toward him, so it hadn’t come naturally to her.
