Love Carries You

Chapter Fifteen:

Her return to home was a beautiful thing, the sounds and smells of the hospital were gone, a fading memory. However, reality was harder, the realization that her life had so drastically changed. It was no longer possible for her to live in the home she had bought a few years ago due to the inaccessibility of the old residence. It was apparent to Kelsea that Kevin was doing everything in her power to ensure that she understood that this was her home. Despite this, there were things she missed, both small and large.

Kevin was able to read Kelsea’s eyes and could see her pain. It was obvious that she was hurting, despite living her dream, but he understood this and did everything he could to make her as comfortable and happy as possible. Kevin made Kelsea happy, she had a joy she had never known before, and she would not change what had happened and go back to the way her life was before, since she had missed out on so much. In her effort to protect herself from pain, she had spent so much time hardening her heart that she had forgotten to look for joy.

I missed out on so much before I let you into my life.” Kelsea stated. If only I had listened to my heart before all of this, we could have done so many things together.”
