No I’m not broken

Because people

Didn’t try

To break me.

I’ve had words of

Hate thrown at me

Like handfuls of stones.

No I’m not busted

Like a piece of glass

Thrown to the floor

It wasn’t for lack of trying

Though

I’ve had my emotions

Stomped on

As people walked

Out the door.

This is supposed

To help me

She said

Dejected broken

To the core.

You can put those

Broken pieces together

And create something beautiful.

You can show

The world

That we all have

Those broken pieces

To put together again.
